Ronnie Hicks & Masheen Company Band: Ronnie Hicks and Masheen Co.
Show bands and house bands are the unsung heroes of R&B and blues. They need to have impeccable chops, quick-fire improvisational instincts, and the ability to both warm up a stage and keep it burning after being summoned, often at a moment’s notice, to accompany front-line acts whose repertoires they may have had to learn virtually overnight...Keyboardist Ronnie Hicks and his Mahseen Company formed in the mid-‘70s, they’ve recorded and performed with artists ranging from veterans like Cicero Blake and Artie “Blues Boy” White through younger-generation singers such as Nellie “Tiger” Travis to journeymen like blues-rocker Jimmy Nick. It goes without saying, then, that versatility is their stock in trade, and when they get the opportunity to have an entire show to themselves, they strut it like a peacock.  Hicks, a deft instrumentalist who leavens his church-honed emotionality with jazz-tinged rhythmic and harmonic dexterity, is also a solid  vocalist and an accomplished showman: I’ve seen him segue from a blues warhorse like “Hoochie Coochie Man” into an impishly exuberant Culture Club cover without missing a beat, and at times like that, his trickster-like glee at confounding his audience’s expectations is almost as enjoyable as the music. -David Whites
Pete Galanis:

Pete Galanis is best known as guitarist for Chicago Blues/Jam Band, Howard & The White Boys, having joined the band in 2004 at just 26 years old. Galanis’ tight blues chops—coupled with his natural versatility at handling the funk, R & B, and rock styles that have become Howard & The White Boys trademarks—have magnificently slotted right in with the group’s signature sound and have also lent it an exciting, youthful exuberance, readily apparent on the bands new Evidence Records release "Made in Chicago".

In August 2007, Pete Galanis Band featuring Nate Manos, began a residency on Tuesdays at Rosa's Lounge.
Galanis and Manos are currently finishing collaboration on their debut album of all original music. Look for it in 2012.

In 2010 Galanis Joined Rob Blaine's Big Otis Blues, performed on the band's debut album-Big Otis Blues and went on to place 3rd in the world in the 2011 International Blues Challenge in Memphis.

Galanis has also shared stage with Buddy Guy, Sheryl Crow, Steppenwolf, Aretha Franklin, John Mayer, Robert Randolph, Dave Myer, Jimbo Mathus, R.L Burnside, Junior Kimborough, Model T Ford, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Lurrie Bell, Eddie Clearwater, Lonnie Brooks, Wayne Brooks,Ronnie Baker Brooks, Hubert Sumlin, Carrie Bell, Lurrie Bell, Jimmy Johnson, Billy Branch, Bob Margolin, Kid Ramos, Carlos Johnson, Albert Castiglia, Mississippi Heat, Nigel Mack, Joe Moss, Nick Moss, Lil' Ed, Bob Stroger, Wille "Big Eyes" Smith, Kenny "Beedy Eyes" Smith, Jimmy Burns, Toronzo Cannon, Eric Davis, Dave Spector, Tab Benoit, Smokin'Joe Kubek to name a few...
