YES!!!  To say that we are absolutely blown away by this unbelievably killer new blues recording from The Corey Dennison Band is an understatement, and we know you’ll feel the same way! This is the electrifyin’ debut studio release from this oh so talented group of soon to be stars of the blues world.  Chicago area’s most talked about new blues band has been tearin’ up the clubs, packin’ the dance floors, and making new diehard fans wherever they play.

There is not a bad song on this eclectic, tasteful mix of all catchy originals from Corey Dennison and Gerry Hundt.  They excel in funky & powerful deep electric blues grooves, as well as the extremely soulful & passionate deep soul ballads. They play with such intensity, reckless abandon, and wild fun, with a touch of twang from Corey’s southern roots. Corey has learned his lessons well, singing and playing rhythm and lead guitar for over a decade with his mentor, the badass Chicago blues legend, Carl Weathersby

And the not so secret weapon of this band is the endless talents of multi-instrumentalist, Gerry Hundt, who handles rhythm & lead guitar and organ on this exciting recording, not to mention his stellar songwriting. You may know Gerry from his days with the Nick Moss Band, and he also leads his own jaw dropping one-man band playing guitar, harp, mandolin, bass, & drums,

Make sure you check out the rousing anthem “Getcha’ Pull,”the relentless groove of “The Deacon,” the beautiful deep soul of “Room To Breathe,” the unforgettable “City Lights,” the supremely funky and entertaining Albert King/Carl Weathersby influenced “Aw, Snap!” and “Strange Things Happenin,” as well as the devastating deep instrumental tour de force, “Jasper’s Hop!!!”

Corey Dennison: Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Corey Dennison spent a majority of his childhood moving about Tennessee and Georgia.  As a young boy, Corey heard the powerful, soulful sounds of the Blues on late night radio programs and recalls being captivated by the music. He received his first guitar at the age of 6 and began to imitate the music of artists such as Gatemouth Brown, Albert Collins and Albert King. Corey immediately felt a strong connection to Soul music.  “I just loved the way Soul music made me feel from my head to my toes. I remember humming along to songs from Wilson Pickett, Curtis Mayfield & Sam Cooke.” This marked a lasting impression on his musical style and is clearly visible today in his soulful vocals and fiery guitar solos...
