Hailed for her “superlative guitar prowess” —Living Blues Magazine, Donna Herula is a blues singer songwriter, resonator slide guitarist and Chicago Blues Hall of Fame inductee. Playing a variety of blues styles, her songwriting tips the hat to the tradition while creating a fresh, contemporary perspective on blues and roots music. In 2022, Donna won Independent Blues Awards for “Best Traditional Blues Artist” and “Best Acoustic Blues Album” for her album “Bang at the Door.” Her song “Bang at the Door” won Best AAA/Alternative Song and “Who’s Been Cookin’ In My Kitchen” was a finalist in the 2022 International Acoustic Music Awards.

The Donna Herula Trio has a passion for performing fun, lively and heartfelt versions of traditional Delta Blues, early Chicago Blues, originals and songs made popular by classic women blues artists. The group includes Chicago native Donna Herula on vocals and slide guitar, Marc Edelstein on upright bass and Tony Wittrock on guitar and mandolin.
