Raised in a small beach town outside of Tampa, Florida, Dave Herrero was introduced to the local and national music scene though a family friend, sneaking out of military school at age 15 to regularly to see bands like the Arc Angels and Johnny Winter, and to go to a local blues jam at the Green Iguana on Monday nights, where local heroes like James and Lucky Peterson would frequently pop in.

Herrero got his start as a professional touring musician in 1996 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, then moved to Austin, TX and joined Archie Bell and the Drells (of "Tighten Up" fame). In Austin, he quickly immersed himself into the Austin music community, playing with the likes of Gary Clark Jr, Charlie Sexton, Lazy Lester, Matt Powell, Seth Walker all the while starting the Blues Society of Austin with friends, Mark "Kaz" Kazanoff, Nancy Coplin and Nicole Shiro. Joanna Connor Band : Come Back Home

Joanna Connor is a blues guitarist and singer who discovered her passion for music at a young age. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, she was influenced by diverse musical styles, including blues legends like Buddy Guy and Taj Mahal.

Connor moved to Chicago in 1984 to immerse herself in the blues scene. She quickly became part of the city's vibrant music community, performing with renowned artists such as Junior Wells, Otis Rush, and Koko Taylor. In 1988, she formed her own band and released her debut album "Believe It" in 1990. Throughout her career, Connor has toured internationally, released numerous albums, and shared stages with blues, rock, and jazz greats.

In recent years, viral videos of her slide guitar solos reignited interest in her music. This led to a collaboration with Joe Bonamassa, who produced her 2021 album "4801 South Indiana," which reached number one on the Billboard Blues chart. Raised in a small beach town outside of Tampa, Florida, Dave Herrero was introduced to the local and national music scene though a family friend, sneaking out of military school at age 15 to regularly to see bands like the Arc Angels and Johnny Winter, and to go to a local blues jam at the Green Iguana on Monday nights, where local heroes like James and Lucky Peterson would frequently pop in.

Herrero got his start as a professional touring musician in 1996 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, then moved to Austin, TX and joined Archie Bell and the Drells (of "Tighten Up" fame). In Austin, he quickly immersed himself into the Austin music community, playing with the likes of Gary Clark Jr, Charlie Sexton, Lazy Lester, Matt Powell, Seth Walker all the while starting the Blues Society of Austin with friends, Mark "Kaz" Kazanoff, Nancy Coplin and Nicole Shiro. John Primer: A Chicago Blues Living Legend

John Primer has undisputedly helped shape the sound and style of Chicago blues. The echoes of tradition from the birthplaces he played, such as Maxwell Street, Theresa's, Checkerboard, and Rosa's Lounge, can be heard in every chord he plays. John Primer is a true Chicago Blues Living Legend.

Born in 1945 on a Mississippi sharecropper's land, Primer was inspired by his family's hard work, field songs, and the blues. His dream was to one day play with the legendary Muddy Waters.

In 1963, Primer moved to Chicago and began his journey to becoming a great bluesman. He started with a steady gig at the legendary Maxwell Street and then played seven nights a week for seven years at the famous Theresa's Lounge, where he was taught by the founding fathers of the blues.

Primer's talent caught the attention of Willie Dixon, who took him on tour with his Chicago Blues All-Stars Band. In 1981, Primer's dream came true when he got to play with Muddy Waters, who called him to lead his band, a life-changing experience.

After Muddy's passing, Primer joined Magic Slim & The Teardrops for 14 years, traveling the world. In 1995, he began leading his own band, The Real Deal Blues Band. Primer has been recorded on more than 87 albums, with 17 under his own name, and has written and produced over 55 songs.

Primer's contributions to the blues have been widely recognized. He has received two Grammy Award nominations, two Lifetime Achievement Awards, been inducted into the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame, awarded the "Muddy Award," and won numerous Blues Music Awards and Blues Blast Awards. John Primer is a true Chicago Blues Icon, whose music continues to inspire and captivate audiences worldwide.

Raised in a small beach town outside of Tampa, Florida, Dave Herrero was introduced to the local and national music scene though a family friend, sneaking out of military school at age 15 to regularly to see bands like the Arc Angels and Johnny Winter, and to go to a local blues jam at the Green Iguana on Monday nights, where local heroes like James and Lucky Peterson would frequently pop in.

Herrero got his start as a professional touring musician in 1996 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, then moved to Austin, TX and joined Archie Bell and the Drells (of "Tighten Up" fame). In Austin, he quickly immersed himself into the Austin music community, playing with the likes of Gary Clark Jr, Charlie Sexton, Lazy Lester, Matt Powell, Seth Walker all the while starting the Blues Society of Austin with friends, Mark "Kaz" Kazanoff, Nancy Coplin and Nicole Shiro. Bob Stroger: I Am The Blues

Bob Stroger, at 94 years old, remains an active touring musician and a celebrated figure in the blues community. In 2025, he became the oldest performer ever inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame, a testament to his enduring influence on the genre. Stroger also received the 2024 Blues Music Award for Instrumentalist – Bass, marking the fifth time he has earned this prestigious honor.

Born on December 27, 1930, near Hayti, Missouri, Stroger's journey into music began after moving to Chicago during his youth. Living near Silvio’s nightclub on the West Side, he was inspired by legends such as Muddy Waters and HowlinWolf. Initially self-taught on guitar, Stroger transitioned to bass under the encouragement of peers like Calvin “Fuzz” Jones and Bob Anderson. His early bands included the Red Tops and Joe Russell and the Blues Hustlers.

Stroger’s career took off in the 1970s when he joined Otis Rush’s band, becoming a cornerstone of Rush's rhythm section and gaining international recognition through touring and studio work. He later collaborated with Sunnyland Slim, Snooky Pryor, Pinetop Perkins, Jimmy Rogers, and many other blues icons. Encouraged by Sunnyland Slim, Stroger began singing and recording as a vocalist in the 1990.

As a solo artist, Stroger has released several albums, including In the House: Live at Lucerne (2002), Bob Is Back in Town (2006), Keepin’ Together (2014), and That’s My Name (2022), recorded with Brazil’s Headcutters blues band. His music reflects decades of experience and versatility, blending traditional blues grooves with his distinctive style.

Beyond performing, Stroger is dedicated to mentoring young musicians through programs like the Pinetop Perkins Foundation workshops. Known for his immaculate stage presence and warm demeanor, he continues to embody the spirit of Chicago blues while passing its legacy to future generations
