JW-Jones: 'Everything Now' New Release
After securing the title of "Best Guitarist" at the esteemed 2020 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Jones undertook his 12th album endeavor, 'Everything Now,' which has recently hit the music scene in 2023. This highly anticipated album showcases an entirely original collection of songs and boasts a special guest appearance by Jimmie Vaughan, while the production reins were expertly handled by Gordie Johnson of Big Sugar.
"Songs are at the heart of it all," expressed the JUNO-nominated Jones, whose virtuosic guitar skills have garnered acclaim from blues legends such as Buddy Guy and Chuck Leavell (The Rolling Stones) in recent years. "While there's no shortage of scorching guitar solos, I aimed to delve deeper into the lyrics, creating a more personal connection. Tracks like 'Papa's in the Pen,' based on a true story, or 'When You Left,' where I sang through tears about my mother's passing, allow me to share stories that I've longed to express through my music."
A frequent fixture on Billboard's Top 10 Blues charts and a darling of roots radio, Jones has been steadily propelling his career to greater heights. Whether it's taking the stage as a personally requested guest alongside the eight-time Grammy winner Buddy Guy, opening for the blues-rock icon George Thorogood, or captivating audiences across 23 countries and four continents, Jones continues to be a dynamic force in the blues and roots music scene.
