Raised in a small beach town outside of Tampa, Florida, Dave Herrero was introduced to the local and national music scene though a family friend, sneaking out of military school at age 15 to regularly to see bands like the Arc Angels and Johnny Winter, and to go to a local blues jam at the Green Iguana on Monday nights, where local heroes like James and Lucky Peterson would frequently pop in.

Herrero got his start as a professional touring musician in 1996 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, then moved to Austin, TX and joined Archie Bell and the Drells (of "Tighten Up" fame). In Austin, he quickly immersed himself into the Austin music community, playing with the likes of Gary Clark Jr, Charlie Sexton, Lazy Lester, Matt Powell, Seth Walker all the while starting the Blues Society of Austin with friends, Mark "Kaz" Kazanoff, Nancy Coplin and Nicole Shiro. Giles Corey

Giles Corey is a dynamic and innovative blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter hailing from Chicago, where he learned from the genre's legends. Throughout his 25-year career, he has regularly performed alongside notable artists such as Otis Rush, Magic Slim, Eddy Clearwater, Syl Johnson, Sugar Blue, and Billy Branch.

From 2003 to 2011, Giles was a founding member and songwriter for the nationally touring funk rock band Lubriphonic. Currently, he leads his own group and records for Delmark Records. Additionally, he is a member of Billy Branch and the Sons of Blues.

Giles performs consistently across the U.S., Europe, South America, and Asia. His music blends traditional Chicago blues with elements of soul, funk, and rock’n’roll, creating a captivating mix of American music. His live performances feature a combination of pure Chicago blues along with swampy slide guitar and upbeat funk, captivating audiences wherever he plays.

Rick King, a native of Chicago's South Side, has established himself as a versatile and accomplished musician in the world of funk and soul. With a career spanning over two decades, King has made a name for himself as both a skilled drummer and a charismatic frontman.

King's musical journey began behind the drums, where he honed his craft playing for legendary artists such as KoKo Taylor, Buddy Guy, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, and B.B. King. His talents took him on global tours, allowing him to share stages with some of the most influential figures in blues and rock 'n' roll.

As a founding member of the funk-soul-jam band Lubriphonic, King further showcased his musical prowess. During his time with the band, he not only played drums but also took on the role of producer, contributing to five of their records.

In recent years, King has embarked on a new chapter in his musical career, stepping out from behind the drums to front his own band, Rick King's Royal Hustle. As the lead vocalist and percussionist, he leads a seven-piece ensemble complete with a horn section. The band's sound is a vibrant fusion of genres, blending elements of Chicago Blues, Memphis Soul, New Orleans Funk, and Kingston Reggae.

Rico McFarland Band :: Tired of Being Alone

For years, Rico McFarland played guitar for such luminous blues artists as James Cotton and Lucky Peterson, before finally launching his solo career in 2001 to much acclaim. Born on March 5, 1960, the Chicago guitarist worked with countless blues artists over the years: Albert King, Otis Clay, Little Milton, Syl Johnson, Artie White, Kinsey Report, and more. He is perhaps best known for working with Cotton and Peterson, however. McFarland recorded his solo debut album, ‘Tired of Being Alone’, for Evidence Records in 2001 with a large roster of guests, including vocalists Otis Clay, Syl Johnson, Billy Branch, and Teela. The album won much acclaim and earned McFarland a 2002 W.C. Handy nomination for Best New Artist of the Year.

Bear Williams Band :: Train To Chi-Town

In 2012 Bear Williams received the BET Lifetime Achievement Award for his work with Frankie Beverly & Maze both on tour and for his contribution to the group's 1994 CD titled "Back To Basics" (Warner Bros). In 2016 after many notable accomplishments as a sideman in the music industry, Bear returned to his hometown of Chicago to create and release his own Blues & Roots Music CD titled "Waters of Love" (GVR Records). His energetic five-song Blues Rock EP, "Blues Rebel" soon followed thereafter. Bear was recently inspired to release the socially conscious singles titled “Sacrifice” and “This is America”. Bear says, “Each of these songs address the nation's and indeed our world's deep need for peace and true equality for all people.” Bear's next Full-Length CD is titled, "Train To Chi-Town" released in the spring of 2021.

Carlos Johnson :: Don't Ever Leave Me

Carlos Johnson, a legendary Chicago blues musician born in 1953, discovered his musical calling at a young age. Surprising his parents by making music on a toy guitar, he soon graduated to a real six-string. Throughout high school, he honed his skills, performing in the Glee Club and sharing the stage with Sheila Hutchinson. Leaving school to pursue music, he later enlisted in the military before embarking on his illustrious blues career.

In the late '70s, Carlos joined forces with iconic blues queen Koko Taylor, marking the beginning of his Chicago blues journey. Over the years, he played with legends like Little Johnny Christian, Vance Kelly, and Son Seals, touring extensively and recording acclaimed albums. Carlos became a sought-after sideman, collaborating with various blues artists.

In 1989, he formed the Serious Blues Band and developed a devoted fan base in Poland. Carlos, a left-handed guitarist playing a right-handed instrument upside-down, influenced generations of players. His powerful vocals and aggressive playing style established him as one of the world's greatest contemporary blues guitarists. Inducted into the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame as a Master Blues Artist, Carlos Johnson's impact on the blues scene is enduring and influential.
